Kelly Aykers
Kelly’s long standing relationship with Dance Factory began in 1987 as a scholarship winner for our Full Time Performing Arts course. Kelly’s performance resume boasts credits in some of Australia’s finest theatrical productions including Christine in “A Chorus Line”, Patty Simcox in “Grease”, Alana Scanlan’s “Moving Pictures”, David Atkin’s “Dynamite”, “Dancin” Man & “Seven Little Australians” and “Beauty & the Beast”.
In 1997 Kelly played Helene, the principal dance lead, in the musical “Sweet Charity”. She then when on to play a role in the smash hit musical “Chicago” and was also dance captain and co-choreographer, working with Gary Chryst of the Netherland Dance Company.
In 2000, she secured the position of resident choreographer on Channel 9′s “Starstruck”, and also choreographed her first concert musical “Guys and Dolls” starring Marina Prior and David Campbell.
Further choreographic credits Kelly has worked on are “Wizard of Oz”, Opera Australia’s “Sweeney Todd” and resident choreographer for “Annie”.
More recently Kelly toured nationally & internationally with the Australian cast of “Saturday Night Fever” as a performer, dance captain and understudy to the lead.
