The classes above are casual classes and no booking is required except for:

LEVEL CLASSES- These classes are part of the Short Course program and they must be paid for by the term. You need to start these classes in the first 6 weeks of the course commencement date. See the Short Course brochure for more details. New courses commence 30th January, 2012.

PERFORMANCE CLASS- These classes must be paid by the term and you must start these classes in the first two weeks of the commencement date. Performance Classes commence 1st February. The performance will be held on Sunday 25th March.

CLASS PRICES FOR 2012

$18 per class

$30 for 2 classes in the same day

$80 for 5 lessons in 1 month

$130 for 10 lessons in 1 month

$160 for 10 lessons in 3 months

TERMS: Terms are for 10 consecutive weeks. Classes can be made up provided you do so before the end date of your term.

PLEASE NOTE! Fees are non-refundable. All above fees include 10% GST.

Term payments can be transferred to other classes, but the term length cannot be extended.

In Accordance with DANCE FACTORY’S safety policy, students who are late for class will not be admitted after the first 10 minutes.

PARKING

Street parking available. Public car park in Church Street (behind Guests Furniture). PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN STAFF CAR PARK.

WHAT TO WEAR

Clothing that can breathe and stretch. Best would be gym style that enables the teachers to see your body alignment. Runners can be worn in most studios if you don’t have dance shoes (check with reception).

Most people aren’t confident or relaxed for the first couple of visits, so don’t worry about it. Allow yourself 4 weeks to master exercises and adjust to the pace of the class. Stop when you feel like it. Stop when it hurts. Allow yourself to make mistakes. Please let teachers know if you have any injuries so as they can advise you accordingly. Remember, if the class is easy and you can do everything, you should probably be in a harder class. Our teachers are trained to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your class so come along and give it a go!

BEGINNER CLASSES

These are specifically designed to:

PERFORMANCE CLASSES

Learn choreographed routines each week to present to your family and friends in a friendly and relaxed environment at the end of term.

PRIVATE LESSONS

30 minutes- $70    60 minutes- $100

Private lessons are available in Jazz, Tap, Classical, Funk, Acrobatics, Singing & Drama. Perfect for technique, competitions and weddings.

PLEASE NOTE: We require 24 hours notice for cancellation of a private lesson.
Payment is non-refundable and you will be required to re-schedule within a week.

TRANSPORT

Dance Factory is located off Church Street, half way between Swan Street and Alexandra Avenue. East Richmond is the closest train station, which is a 5 minute walk down Church Street. Coming from the city, there is a tram (#70- Wattle Park), which travels up Flinders Street and will drop you off at the Swan Street & Church Street intersection. Tram numbers 78 & 79 travel along Church Street past Yorkshire Street.
